(2)  On a bright day, put a windshield cover, STD-1176 on the windshield to make it easier to do this test.

(3)  Prepare to do the test:

(a)  At the overhead panel, P5, do these steps:

1)  Set the emergency light switch to ARMED.

2)  Set the air conditioning switches to AUTO.

(4)  Do a test of the annunciators, pushbutton switches, and Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) segments connected to the master dim and test system (WDM 33-18-11 thru 33-18-99):

(a)  At the captain's main instrument panel, P1, set the switch for the master dim and test lights to TEST.

NOTE:  The CMD and CWS pushbuttons on Honeywell MCP (part number 4082260-937/-939) will not illuminate.

(b)  On these panels, make sure the lamps in the annunciators come on brightly:

a)  To complete the test of the wheel well warning light and engine start lever lamp warning light, set the test switch to the OVHT/FIRE position, then back to its usual position.

7)  Forward electronics panel, P9

NOTE:  You will find five annunciators on each CDU; DSPY (or CALL), FAIL, MSG, OFST, and EXEC.

a)  Make sure that the parking brake light is on.

(d)  Make sure the LCD segments on these panels come on for 2 seconds then go off for 1 second:

(e)  At the P1 panel, set the switch for the master dim and test lights to the usual mode.

(5)  Put the airplane back to its usual condition:

(a)  If necessary, at the P10 panel, set the parking brake.

(b)  At the P5 panel, do these steps:
