槟城Stonyhurst国际学校的学生拉开了
2024年法语国家国际日，轰轰烈烈
由学生主导的集会，包括优美的歌声和有趣的舞者
和才华横溢的音乐表演者以及大量的信息
关于这一天的意义和庆祝。连同
表演者，MC们雄辩地说话，并且有意识地如何
他们接近了这个特殊日子背后的基本原理，并预言了

槟城举办了第二届年度青年音乐家节
学校社区的年度比赛。
学生们在三轮比赛中表演，以获得一席之地
现场音乐会，由Caden Tan，Avisha主持
Goel、Shuen Ni Seow 和 Ruo Shuen Yew。有一个
一系列美妙的乐器，包括钢琴、小提琴、
声乐、大提琴、古筝，演奏古典、浪漫、
流行音乐和二十世纪的音乐。
2024 年少年音乐家是：Keira Doyle（四年级），
Chai Eun Park （E6）、Pai Song （E5）、Ten Two （E6） 和

French Day Line Competition Winners
ACHIEVEMENTS
More Mathematical successes!
Our pupils continue to excel in international competitions, and this is testament to their work in preparing for these very challenging events.
Recently, Isaac Ong in Year 8 secured an 'Honour roll Award' in the very prestigious MAA’s American Mathematics Contests (MAA-AMC).
This contest is highly recognised by the US Department of Education as being of high value.
Other achievements include Sun Ho Kwon (Year 10) who recently secured a Grade A in the Singapore Math Global Final, whilst Tan Jun Yan
secured a gold in the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (Heat).
Congratulations to all of the students on their remarkable achievements!
We are also awaiting a number of other results in recent contests run by the University of Waterloo in what continues to be a very busy few
months of competitions for our pupils.

Catholic Easter Mass
CHAPEL UPDATES
We are pleased to announce that our
next Catholic Easter Mass will be held in
the Chapel on Wednesday 3rd April
from 3:45 pm. All Catholic families are
welcome to attend.
Rosary Sessions
We are also excited to share that the Chapel will be
open on the first Friday of each month from
8am for Catholic parents who wish to take part in a
Rosary session. Each Rosary session will typically take
around 30 minutes. The intention of this session is
for the unity of faiths and religions within the
Stonyhurst Penang community and to strengthen our
parent community's well-being.
Ignatian Spirituality Workshop for Parents
Parents are invited to join a session led by Fr Francis to explore Ignatian Spirituality. This session will run from
12:20 pm - 3:00 pm on April 3rd before our Easter Mass in the afternoon. Details of the session are:
30 minutes (theory): an input of about 30 minutes on Ignatian imaginative prayer
30 minutes (practise) : let the parents have some quiet time to pray and reflect
30 minutes: break for fellowship
30 minutes (sharing on practise): gather in small groups for Spiritual Conversations
30 minutes (wrapping up): plenary session and Q&A

As part of the IGCSE Global Perspectives team
project, pupils in Grammar (Year 10) will be raising
awareness of the Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital
blood donation campaign on the 30th March 2024.

Blood Donation Drive
Please join us in the MPH at Stonyhurst
International School Penang between 9 am and 4
pm on 28th March, where you can witness some of
the finest junior players in Penang competing in a
tournament organised by the CJ Academy.
Additionally, there is an opportunity to partake in a
three-point contest and acquire new skills while
honing free-throw accuracy to enhance your game.
Refreshments will be available for purchase outside
the MPH. Entry to this exclusive event is priced at
30RM per person, and all proceeds will be
donated to Watch Water Penang, a local
