Study on Library Reading Promotion Strategies for Ancient Books under the Concept of Awakening Cultural Memory

Abstract: [Purpose/Significance]From a new perspectiveexploring the influencing factors of the promotion of reading of antiquarian books in libraries and proposing strategies to promote them. [Methodology/Process]Using the qualitative research method of rooted theory, we coded 77 core periodicals literature line by line, and summarized the factors influencing the promotion of reading of antiquarian books after open coding, spindle coding, and selective coding. [Results/Conclusions]45 initial concepts, 24 basic categories, 12 main categories, and 4 dimensions were obtained by coding the literature. The study shows that the four dimensions of promotion main body, promotion resources, promotion environment and promotion way belong to dominant, safeguard, promotion and supportive factors respectively. On this basis, it proposes strategies to promote reading promotion of ancient books in libraries, which is of certain significance for improving the quality of reading promotion of ancient books and promoting the ability and level of service of reading promotion of ancient books.

[1]To the increasedclassicpromotionproposedrequests to carry out all kinds of classicalreading promotions activities, and to push forward the inheritance and development of the excellent Chinese culture. Libraries, as public utilities for all people, are the main force in promoting the development of the cause of reading for all[2]. The Opinions on the Implementation of the Project for the Inheritance and Development of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture issued by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council point out that in order to inherit and carry forward the Chinese excellent traditional culture, the active participation and promotion of libraries, cultural centers, museums, art galleries, art galleries and other types of cultural organizations should be brought into full play. However, the library's strict regulations on the use of original copies of ancient books make ancient books restricted in the process of reading and promotion. Therefore, sorting out the factors affecting the reading and promotion of ancient books, so that libraries can target to carry out the collation, development, and promotion of ancient literatureis an extremely critical task at present.
1 The current situation of research on the promotion of reading ancient books in libraries

Zuo Jin[4]4]< span data-dl-uid="17">Starting from the aspect of constructing characteristic resource database and utilizing the Internet big data technology to promote the development of ancient book resources in public libraries, it provides a new way for public libraries to do a good job in the work of ancient book organization. Fan Pu[5]]< span data-dl-uid="22">On this basis, a librarian service model based on the network environment is proposed so that it can better meet the readers' needs for the utilization of ancient literature. Ancient Chinese Canonical Booksas an important material carrier of the excellent Chinese culturecontain a rich ideological and cultural value. The collection of ancient books in current libraries is mostly paper-based, and damage will inevitably occur in the process of use. After entering the information age, the information management of ancient books resources enables them to be better utilized. In order to promote the popularity of ancient books, it is first necessary to understand what aspects of the factors affecting the promotion of reading ancient books in libraries. Analyzing and discussing the influencing factors of reading promotion of ancient books in the digital new media era, this paper will use the research method of rooted theory to summarize the influencing factors of reading promotion of ancient books in libraries and put forward strategies to promote the reading promotion of ancient books in libraries.
2 ResearchDesign
2.1 Research methodology
Grounded theory (扎根理论) is a data-based qualitative research methodology that extracts core concepts from data and, by generalizing the relationships between concepts, constructs a theoretical system that reveals specific phenomena. Glaser and Strauss first introducedthe concept of rooted theory[in their successful collaboration in the 1960s9]. The rooted theory process consisted of data collection, coding, theory sampling, saturation analysis, and theory comparison and construction. Programmed coding of rooted theoryis divided intoopen coding, axial coding) and selective coding. This study applies rooting theory to coding literatureinformation, analyzing and constructing the rooting theory of the factors influencing the promotion of reading of antique books in libraries framework.
2.2 Data sources
Considering the regional nature and context of reading ancient books, this study focuses on the promotion of reading ancient books in domestic libraries with Chinese periodicals as the main research object. In the databases such as China Knowledge Network and Wanfang, literature search was carried out with the theme words of "library antiquities reading promotion", "library antiquities promotion", "reading promotion of Chinese classics", "library antiquities dissemination", and the time was set from January 2000 to May 2024. In order to ensure the authoritativeness of the data, the project took the Chinese core journals and CSSCI as the main objects of the study, and 147 pieces of original literature were obtained. Secondly, the literature was imported into NVIVO11 for literature management. By reading and summarizing the full text, the literature searched in the previous period was screened to exclude the contents that were not related to the promotion of reading of ancient books, and it was determined that there were a total of 77 pieces of eligible literature, which entered the next step of the coding process.
3 Coding system construction
3.1 Open coding
Open coding is the first level in the step-by-step coding process of rooted theory, where the collected textual information is broken up, merged, and abstracted into concepts before being reorganized in a new way[10]. This article takes the influence factors of ancient book reading promotionas the object of the study by combing and in-depthanalysis of the raw dataand eliminating the conceptual elements that are not related to the research topic, a total of 45 were obtained. span>initial concepts(a1-a45). This was used as the basis for the spindle coding, as shown in Table 1 (limited to space, selected portions of the initial conceptsas well as the corresponding < span data-dl-uid="21">part of the original statement).
3.2 Spindle type coding
Spindle-based coding aims at analyzing the original concepts obtained from open coding in comparison with the underlying categories, discovering possible relationships between each underlying category, and then generalizing and naming them as main categories. [11]. 3.3 SelectionEquationCoding
In the selectivestylecoding stage, the conceptual abstraction level is gradually raised through the continuous excavation of the main categories generated by the spindle coding, and the core categories can be organized in a way that they can override all the categories. categories. [12]]. In the first two levels of coding stage, the results of the analysis showed that each of the main categories were centered around Ancient BooksReading PromotionFactorsExpand. 3.4 Theoretical saturation test
If new conceptual categories or associations can no longer be summarized at the coding stage, more than 3 data profiles need to be validated, and if no new conceptual categories or associations are still found, the theory can be considered to be established and saturated[13]. The saturation test of the 10 randomly set-aside papers reveals that no new concepts or categories emerge, so it can be determined that the study has basically reached theoretical saturation, and the sampling can be terminated without further expansion of the data.
4 Model Interpretation and Research Findings
On the basis of a three-level coded analysisof the primary literature, summarizegeneralizethe variousscopes and dimensions< span data-dl-uid="8">relationships betweenthese categories and dimensionsand systematically revealthepromotions of reading of antiquitiesinfluencing factorsas shown in Figure1. The results of the study found that the influencing factors of ancient book reading promotionare mainly divided intopromotion main body, Promotion Resources,Promotion Environment,The four aspects of the promotion path.

4.1Promotion Subject
Promotion main body is the dominant factor that positively influences the promotion of reading of ancient books in libraries, including promotion leadership(B1),team effectiveness(B2),Librarian Formation(B3).
4.1.1 Extension Leadership
Reading promotion is related to the construction of national culture as well as the inheritance of civilization, and is a public undertaking to improve national cultural literacy. As a force for the promotion of reading for all people, all sectors of society have a leading role in the promotion of reading. As a profound accumulation of national history and culture, ancient books are the cornerstone of historical exploration and academic research. Through the dissemination and reading of ancient books, people can deeply feel the unique charm of national culture, which in turn inspires a strong sense of cultural identity and belonging, and this emotional resonance coalesces into a solid national cultural identity, and the promotion of the construction of cultural identity is the ultimate goal of libraries to promote the process of reading ancient books.
4.1.2 Team effectiveness
The effectiveness of the library reading promotion mechanism is determined by the effectiveness of the work of the members of the promotion team, the library's professional promotion team and effective incentives for the promotion of reading of ancient books to inject a strong impetus for the promotion of activities, but also to make the effect of the promotion of reading greatly enhanced. Effective integration of human and material resources in resource scheduling and configuration of the core role, can ensure the efficient organization and implementation of promotional activities.
4.1.3 Librarianship
Ancient book reading promotion relatedpersonnel as the main force of reading promotion,specialization of the personnel requires them to have profound ancient book bibliography, history, literature and other related disciplines of the Professional knowledge, as well as ancient books restoration, protection, digitization and other professional skills, in order to provide readers with professional help and guidance. At the same time, the development of science and technology and social progress continue to affect the form and means of reading promotion of ancient books, in the process of training librarians should focus on innovative thinking and planning ability, such as the use of new media to promote the reading of ancient books, extending the service connotation of reading promotion.
4.2Extension Resources
Promotional resources are safeguarding factors that positively influence the promotion of reading ancient books in libraries, including collection resources(B4),space configuration(B5) ), Reader Education (B6).
4.2.1Collection resources
The number and types of ancient books in a librarydeterminethe reading the range of readingthat the library can provide The range of choices, libraries with rich resources of antiquities are able to meet the reading needs of different readers. The preservation status of ancient books in libraries also affects the completeness of activities to promote reading of ancient books, and resources with blurred handwriting and torn paper may cause further damage to ancient books while affecting the reading experience of readers. The digitization of antiquities under the development of information technology enables libraries to use more scientific ways to preserve and disseminate antiquities resources, and efficient retrieval systems and convenient lending processes also have an important impact on the promotion of reading antiquities in libraries.
4.2.2Space configuration
Library reading space configuration resources is one of the safeguarding factors for the promotion of ancient reading, physical space layout, collection layout and display, reading facilities and equipment, space atmosphere creation and space security and convenience. Reasonable physical space layout can provide readers with a comfortable reading environment, and the degree of perfection of reading facilities and equipment also directly affects the reading experience and reading effect. When carrying out reading promotion activities, libraries can create a cultural atmosphere through decoration, lighting, music and other means, innovate new reading scenes, and improve service supply capacity to enhance user satisfaction.
4.2.3 Reader education
In the face of different audience groups, the most basic work of libraries lies in reader education. In order to establish a long-term reading promotion mechanism for ancient books, many libraries provide personalized reading "full guardianship" for different readers, providing readers with all-around guidance and assistance in terms of content, methods and means, and at the same time promoting the improvement of readers' reading literacy. In the new era, cross-media reading and readers' sharing sessions promote readers' cultural exchanges and cultivate their good reading habits at the same time.
4.3Promotion Environment
Promotional environment is the driving factor that positively influences the promotion of reading of ancient books in libraries, including the survival environment(B7),Communication Environment(B8), )Social Environment(B9).
4.3.1 Survival environment
Currently, the work of libraries for the promotion of reading of ancient books is very limited, affected by technical and environmental factors, and the development space of reading of ancient books is seriously marginalized. At the same time, because the ancient books are niche reading materials, their reading volume and utilization rate is far less than ordinary books, users know little about the knowledge structure of ancient books, the reading threshold is very high, resulting in the emotional needs of users for ancient books is far less than ordinary books. Therefore, the promotion of ancient books needs to seek a balance and breakthrough between niche content and mass communication.
4.3.2 Dissemination environment
Compared with ancient books, commercial capital is more inclined to take other cultural heritage as the object of joint marketing, but the digital dissemination of ancient books can feed the digital economy. Therefore, this puts forward higher requirements for the digital dissemination mode and value creation method of ancient books, on the basis of which libraries need to explore new ways suitable for the dissemination of ancient books. From the user's point of view, exploring reading promotion methods that meet the user's reading ability and scope also plays an indispensable role in the smooth implementation of reading promotion of ancient books in libraries.
4.3.3 Social environment
For a long time, libraries have regarded the protection of ancient books as the center of gravity of their work, and the traditional concept of collecting but not utilizing has been deeply rooted in the work related to ancient books in libraries. Under the guidance of relevant laws and regulations, libraries need to transform, formulate promotion guidelines parallel to the protection of antiquities, build an institutional framework for the promotion of reading antiquities, abandon old ideas, and promote the transformation of antiquities from static collection to dynamic utilization. At the same time, the limitations of public awareness of the value of ancient books and the lack of reading motivation are also problems that libraries need to solve in the promotion of reading ancient books.
4.4Promotional pathways
Promotional pathways are supportive factors that positively influence the promotion of reading ancient books in libraries, including promotional forms(B10),Technical Services(B11), Extended Services(B12).
4.4.1 Forms of promotion
The national opinion on the work of ancient books clearly puts forward to improve the work system of ancient books, improve the quality of work of ancient books, accelerate the transformation and utilization of ancient book resources, and as an important element of support for reading promotion, the form of promotion of ancient books is still always in the process of development[[< 14]. With the continuous innovation of new technology, the library reading promotion of ancient books still faces many challenges, the rich historical and cultural value contained in ancient books has not been fully explored and utilized, and the library reading promotion of ancient books based on the perspective of cultural memory is relatively scarce. Therefore, it is crucial to accelerate the enrichment of reading promotion of ancient books.
4.4.2 Technical services
In reading promotion practice, most libraries use more mature platforms, such as WeChat and Weibo, to promote reading by displaying and interacting with each other, and at the same time, the Internet + thinking also has an impact on readers' reading behavior. Based on this, libraries should focus their promotion centers more on the information technology aspects such as big data, and rely on the current technological environment of reading promotion to explore the extensive and deep application of technological services in the library's ancient book reading promotion services.
4.4.3 Extended services
In all kinds of ancient books reading promotion activities carried out by libraries, study tours further expand the social education function of public libraries in the context of cultural and tourism integration. Promoting the reading of ancient books and study toursphasecombine the humanities and geography knowledge contained in ancient books through study tours, which is conducive to deepening the understanding of ancient books and achieving the goal of knowing and doing. ]. In order to broaden the form of reading promotion of ancient books, it can also be enhanced in a variety of ways, such as the development of cultural and creative products, the promotion of short-video content, and thematic lectures.
5 Strategies for Promoting Reading of Ancient Books in Libraries under the Concept of Awakening Cultural Memory
5.1 Emphasize the main body of reading and build a leading mechanism for multiple coordination and promotion
Libraries are an important position for the promotion of reading of ancient books in China. Therefore, all sectors of the society should gradually build up a multi-level leading mechanism for reading promotion activities, carry out comprehensive planning for the promotion of reading for all, and provide administrative guarantee and support for the promotion of reading of ancient books through the formulation of relevant policies. In order to meet the needs of diversified readers for the use of ancient books, libraries should actively take action to explore the unique cultural elements of ancient books through adaptation or artistic re-creation, and transform them into a way of communication that not only retains the traditional essence but also adheres to modern aesthetics and is easy to comprehend, so as to enhance the attractiveness of the ancient books and pass on and promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture. At the same time, libraries should clarify the objectives of reading promotion of ancient books, build professional reading promotion teams and effective incentive mechanisms, and unite all walks of life to provide support for the promotion of reading of ancient books, so as to jointly improve the effectiveness and influence of reading promotion of ancient books.
5.2 Enriching digital resources, integrating and optimizing the guarantee mechanism for reading ancient books
Resources are the basis for development. The Law of the People's Republic of China on Public Libraries[16]< /span>Article 41 states that public libraries shall strengthen the protection of ancient books, promote the collation and publication of ancient books and research and utilization of ancient books by using technologies such as digitization, photocopying, and microfilming, and intensify the promotion of the reading of ancient books through a variety of promotional forms, so as to further inherit and develop the excellent traditional Chinese culture. In terms of the training of librarians, libraries need to strengthen the construction of full-time staff, set up a special team to collect antiquities, expand the digital resource base of antiquities to enhance the accessibility and convenience of antiquities, provide readers with convenient retrieval and lending services through the construction of detailed cataloging and indexing system of antiquities, promote the effective use of antiquities resources, and build a strong protection system for the subsequent promotion of antiquities reading activities. In terms of space allocation, on the basis of improving the library infrastructure, accelerate the digitization of antiquities, develop the antiquities digitization technology platform, and integrate new media technology to enhance the innovation of content forms.
5.3 Improve the promotion environment and build a mechanism to promote reading of ancient books
A good promotion environment is a driving factor for the implementation of reading promotion of ancient books,constructing a long-term promotion mechanismthatIntegration of digital technologyhelps to enhance the long-term sustainability of reading promotion in libraries. Due to factors such as the small space for the development of ancient reading, the influence of the communication environment and the influence of the overall trend of society, the promotion of ancient books has been marginalized and the cultural attention is not high. Based on this, libraries should improve the current communication environment, use modern communication media, such as film and television, network, etc., the cultural elements of ancient books for dissemination and promotion, to increase the user's understanding of ancient books and interest. At the same time, libraries should actively adjust the concept of "heavy collection and light use" limitations, in order to improve the efficiency of the digital transformation of ancient books, the establishment of a sound mechanism for the restoration and protection of ancient books, while strengthening the top-level design of the promotion of reading ancient books, to develop a clear promotional strategy and objectives to ensure that the promotion of the direction and relevance of the work.
5.4 Expand the promotion channels and innovatively build support mechanisms for reading ancient books
Library antiquities reading promotion pathway is reasonable or not, determines the degree of user acceptance of knowledge information. Personalized and targeted promotion channels can achieve higher promotion efficiency. Subdivision of target users, combined with the user's personalized behavioral patterns and preference trends to build a refined user profile, which helps libraries to create a three-dimensional media service matrix, and targeted promotional activities for ancient books. Second, onlineoffline integration,extending the reading promotion service of ancient books. The forms and channels of library reading promotion in the new media era are richer and more diversified. In the website, microblog, micro letter and other platforms to establish ancient book promotion column, regularly push the ancient book protection related knowledge, help to expand the coverage of ancient book reading promotion. Finally, in order to strengthen reading promotion space construction, libraries should pay attention to cross-border cooperation in order to enhance their service effectiveness and core competitiveness, and to seek a breakthrough in the transformation of the promotion of antiquarian books reading with the help of the social forces of the professional advantages of, for example, Nanchang Television "Moving Nanchang" news program cooperation. Nanchang" news program launched in cooperation with the "antiquities beautician" "shot: invisible wings" and other library antiquities restoration and cataloguing of thematic documentaries, which will help to achieve more in-depth reading of antiquities to promote the effectiveness of maximization.
6 Conclusion
As an important position for promoting reading promotion in the period of deep digital transformation, libraries play an irreplaceable key role in the promotion of reading of ancient books. Based on the theory of rootedness, this project conducts exploratory research on the main factors affecting the promotion of reading of ancient books in libraries from a more comprehensive and objective perspective, and further analyzes the role of each main category in promoting the promotion of reading of ancient books, which is of great significance for libraries to carry out the activities of promoting the promotion of reading of ancient books in accordance with the local conditions and improve the quality of promotion of ancient books, and to promote the service capacity and level of the promotion of reading of ancient books. This study also has some limitations. There are some limitations in this study: the current study mainly relies on the data of core journals, which limits the generalizability of the results to a certain extent. In the future, it is necessary to expand the data sources, increase the number of samples, and carry out comparative studies and field research in different library organizations, so as to explore the influencing factors of the promotion of reading of ancient books.
