Extremely impressed by how responsive the wallet linking was. UX for Kain's product remains unmatched across a ton of 'do everything' apps I've tried.
- Theyโve carved out 1B ยตPatrons (1% of total Patron supply) to be distributed to Yappers and Kaito eco
- Interesting strategy that they had a separate leaderboard ranking (which shows all the top list of Yappers from each season), and it also ties in with their app as well
- As a result, Infinex has been consistently sitting at Top1-3 in pre-TGE mindshare leaderboard over the past few months, with a significant growing uptrend in mindshare over time
- Users didnโt just talk about the product, they tested and are avid users of the protocol - specifically โswidgeโ their in-app chain abstraction tool that lets users move chains without bridging headaches
- Itโs a case where attention converted because the product works and users loved it
Polkadot
- was one of the first ecosystem campaigns we hosted
- Polkadot used to run their own KOL campaign in the past, after utilizing Kaito, they were able to slash KOL spend by 50%, but by broadening participation for any Yappers to join. Previously, they were only working with 17 KOLs with no clear metrics to measure ROI
To my knowledge Polkadot was the first "major" ecosystem mindshare campaign to launch.
I think it's worth considering how it played out...and to see if there are lessons to be learned for other well funded chains/ecos when approaching mindshare marketing.
We're nearing the end
Arbitrum
- , an established L2 ecosystem, launched their own yapper campaign where the top50 yappers on the Arbitrum Leaderboard will be able to earn their share of 400k ARB tokens.
- They are also planning to drop monthly Yap Challenges to keep the momentum going
Sei Network
- Outcomes for SEI from the campaign: smart follower growth from 14k โ 35k, 379 new creators onboarded
What's Ahead?
- Increasingly, there will be a focus on incorporating on-chain reputation to further filter out AI slops and reward high-quality creators. The thesis is that we think there will be a massive premium for *real* human creators with reach.
- Continue to think of how Yappers can play a bigger role in terms of conversion, and broadening the overall number of Yappers within the ecosystem. posted an interesting idea where "fan mindshare could potentially bootstrap real liquidity", giving your top yappers an exclusive opportunity to invest with liquidity.
