This guide has been developed for 1^("st ")1^{\text {st }} level students at Faculty of NursingDamietta University. This course designed to provide nursing students with the necessary skills and attitudes based on theoretical knowledge to demonstrate the basic nursing care procedures for patients’ care. Developing clinical competency is an important challenge for each fundamentals nursing student. To facilitate the mastery of nursing skills, we are happy to provide skill checklists for each skill. Students can use the checklists to facilitate self-evaluation, and will be useful in measuring and recording student performance. The checklists follow each step of the skill to provide a complete evaluative tool. They are designed to record an evaluation of each step of the procedure.

Lab instructions for nursing students
Lab white coat is an obligatory to wear.
Eating &drinking are prohibited.
Maintain a quiet atmosphere.
Avoid tampering with lab tools, machines and equipment.
Avoid leaving personal stuffs behind.
Maintain the laboratory cleanliness.
Put personal stuffs in the appropriate places during training.
Abide the instruction so teaching members and laboratory technician during training.
Smoking is prohibited.
Mobiles should be closed
Attendance will be taken in each clinical area.
The students will be considered:
Absent after 10 minutes of beginning the lecture.
In case of unusual circumstances (e.g. major illness), the student must contact the instructor within one-half an hour before the beginning of the area
A warning letter will be received after two days of unexcused absences.
The student will be deprived/ prevented from attending the final exam, if the absenteeism exceeds more than 25%25 \% from total days of clinical areas.
Clinical Policy:
Sanitary environment, professional dress and attention to the personal hygiene are mandatory. Neat and personal grooming are needed, which considered as an important part of the nursing professional integrity. Also, students must follow all related dress
