  • About the Two Bans of Zero.u5 and What I Want to Say

On September 19, 2020, a large-scale wrongful ban incident occurred, during which my account zero.u5 was also banned. In this wrongful ban incident, many well-known streamers and professional players from both domestic and international scenes had their accounts banned. The accounts of the well-known domestic team ASK player Captain capt1 and WAVE team leader xanthe were also banned; both of their account levels were above 300. Captain capt1 of ASK had also led his team to participate in major offline competitions such as the Guangzhou Firefly. Below are the email screenshots of their account bans:

After being banned for several months, I learned from others that providing the account ID to a certain Ubisoft employee could lead to unbanning. I chose to use the illegal method of offering money to the staff for unbanning. Choosing such a rule-breaking method to get unbanned is a violation of Ubisoft's game guidelines, and I have recognized my mistake. However, after the unban, this account received numerous reports regarding the illegal unban, and the Ubisoft staff who helped me unban also informed me of the risk of being banned again. Nearly a month later, the account was banned again.

After this, I want to express what Zero.u5 has to say. U5 has faced off against chillax several times, with each match being fiercely contested. In the earlier matches, for various reasons, u5 did not manage to defeat chillax. During the semifinals of the Zero Cup, we finally triumphed over chillax and won the championship of that event. I am very aware of how hard-won that championship was for this team; a mere electronic certificate encapsulated the years of hard work from several teammates. The reason I am so determined to prove my innocence is not only because I did not commit this act, but also because I cannot allow the honor earned through my teammates' hard work to be tarnished.

From start to finish, I wanted to resolve this matter independently; I did not want to involve my other friends and teammates. This issue only concerns me, and I should bear the responsibility alone. However, due to the intervention of some extremely influential "big shots" who stepped in to "seek justice," the situation escalated to this point, forcing me to seek their help.

After being banned for the second time, without even being aware of the situation myself, a former "good friend" from my rank battles received the news and didn't even bother to ask me a single question, opting instead for the most extreme measures to try to obliterate me. I racked my brain trying to prove that I only had one bowl of noodles, but it seemed my good brother didn't care at all how many bowls I actually had. During the S2 season of the league, I was banned, but the event organizers gave me the opportunity to continue participating with the team. The team was well-prepared; we could provide all recorded videos from startup to gameplay, computer screen recordings, and Moss. For this, the team even prepared two cameras just in case. I did not back down due to the ban and tried hard to prove my innocence, but some players did not give me the chance to do so. Below is a screenshot of the conditions given by the event organizers for continued participation:

I no longer expect my account to be unbanned, nor do I want to take improper measures to have my account reinstated. Because I understand that I will have to pay the price for my flamboyance after being unbanned. However, I want everyone to know that the mistakes I made are not as unforgivable as some people claim. Taking this opportunity to speak out, I am very grateful to those who have always been willing to support me and believe in me. I can assure you that I have never done anything that would betray the team, betray myself, or go against my conscience, in the past or in the future.

    Good brother
