Week 1: Preparation and Adaptation (July 8 - July 14)
I will arrive at Lake Lugu on the 9th of July, after which I will familiarize myself with the surrounding area and start preparing for my research. On the 11th, I will participate in a field research workshop. During this period, I will be in contact with local researchers to understand the current research progress and learn about methodology related knowledge.
Now there are travelers from other places coming here who are committed to promoting local culture to attract more people. It will increase the economic income of local people by helping villagers to run homestays. There are also some " anthropology researchers " who share their feelings and experiences in the local area through blogs and share sessions. You may encounter them in workshops. If possible, I hope to communicate more with them in the future.
Week 2: Finalize the workshop and preliminary organization (July 15 - July 21)
We will conclude the workshop on the 18th, consolidating the information gathered during the workshop and identifying follow-up plans.
Week 3: Systematically carrying out research on villages and public spaces (July 22 - July 28)
This week, I will start my research with the museums and the surrounding village space. There are three museums around Lugu Lake, two of which are in Sichuan and Yunnan, respectively, that exhibit Mosuo folk customs and culture. A Mosuo celebrity also shows information about his personal experiences. I plan to spend two to three days visiting these three museums, and then get an overview of the village space around the lake to provide a reference for the subsequent selection of research objects.
Week 4: Comparative testing and detailed observations (July 29 - August 4)
This week, I plan to visit more traditional villages in the region to understand the diversity of villages in different regions and form a relatively complete field data structure. Based on this information, I will select one of these villages as the subject of subsequent in-depth investigation.
Week 5: Organizing and summarizing data and supplementary research (August 5 - August 8)
I'll be consolidating all the information I've collected over the next week and conducting additional research and follow-up visits to areas that still have shortcomings, then I'll prepare for the return trip.

I have collected some information about the villages, but not much. I cannot find more information at the moment, and the location information on the map is also somewhat misplaced due to technical reasons. So I still need to visit the local villages on the spot before making a choice. At present, Walabi Village has a relatively good foundation and conditions for field investigation. There are two types of traditional village atmospheres: one is in the area around Lugu Lake, and the other is in the area far from the lake. Because of the good lake view resources, tourism is well developed in the area around the lake, but this may also lead to greater changes in its traditional spatial structure and is not conducive to field research. The traditional residential spatial structure of villages far from the lake is still well preserved, which may be more suitable for my research.
I have collected some information about the village, but it is not much. I cannot find any detailed information at the moment. Due to technical reasons, there are some inconsistencies in the location information on the map. Therefore, before making a selection, it is necessary to conduct a field inspection of the local village. Currently, Wallabi Village has a relatively good foundation and conditions for field investigation. The traditional village atmosphere is divided into two types: one in the area around Lake Lugu and the other away from the lakeside. Because of the good lake scenic resources around the lake, tourism is better developed, but it may also lead to a big change in the traditional spatial structure, which is not conducive to field research. The traditional living spatial structure of the village far from the lake area is still well preserved and may be more suitable for my research.
