The aim of the Master of Science in Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Logistics Management [MSc(Eng) (IELM)] curriculum is to offer advanced postgraduate education in industrial engineering and logistics management to graduates who hold managerial, supervisory or administrative positions in industrial and service sectors. The curriculum is designed to enable students to acquire state-of- the-art knowledge in operations management, logistics and supply chain management, organisational management, financial management, digital enterprises and e-commerce, industrial data analytics and other related topics. In line with economic developments of Hong Kong, China and other parts of the world, the curriculum has been continuously updated and strengthened.  Capstone learning experience is now emphasised in many courses; and new courses in logistics and supply chain management, financial engineering and industrial data analytics have been incorporated in the curriculum.
工业工程与物流管理理学硕士课程旨在为在工业和服务业担任管理、监督或行政职位的毕业生提供工业工程和物流管理的高级研究生教育。该课程旨在使学生能够获得运营管理、物流和供应链管理、组织管理、财务管理、数字企业和电子商务、工业数据分析和其他相关主题的最新知识。随着香港、中国和世界其他地区的经济发展，课程不断更新和加强。 现在，许多课程都强调顶点学习经验;此外，课程中还新增了物流与供应链管理、金融工程和工业数据分析等课程。

Industrial managers are the designers of operating systems of organisations that provide value to their customers. Also, they are the key professionals responsible for managing the operations of these organisations. Nowadays, the complexity of modern operations has greatly increased due to increased product/service customisation, business globalisation and technology advancement. An industrial manager now needs to be concerned with supply chain issues in a global context.  Also, he/she must realise that technology and knowledge are the most critical resources for an organisation in gaining competitive advantage.  His/her effective management of these resources is crucial to the growth and profitability of the organisation.

Industrial managers are among the most important people in an organisation as they contribute to the long-term competitiveness of the organisation in a direct, tangible way. While closer economic integration with South China will bring numerous business opportunities, a company can prosper only if it has the right business vision and the necessary competence. The emphasis of the MSc(Eng) curriculum is on the strategic and logistical aspects that will help organisations achieve this vision and competence.
工业经理是组织中最重要的人之一，因为他们以直接、切实的方式为组织的长期竞争力做出贡献。虽然与华南地区更紧密的经济融合将带来许多商机，但只有拥有正确的商业愿景和必要的能力，公司才能繁荣发展。理学硕士（工程）课程的重点是战略和后勤方面，这将有助于组织实现这一愿景和能力。

Students are required to successfully complete 72 credits to graduate.  The mode of study may comprise 48 credits of courses plus a dissertation (equivalent to 24 credits) or 60 credits of courses plus a project (equivalent to 12 credits).
学生必须成功完成 72 个学分才能毕业。 学习模式可包括48学分的课程加一篇论文（相当于24学分）或60学分的课程加一个项目（相当于12学分）。
