Checkered deck can't do anything but flushes, therefore it isn't versatile.
Decks are placed higher because they are good at early game, versatility, late game, and midgame. I personally think Painted is the weakest deck, but if you like the consistency so be it. My favourite deck is Yellow, as I find the consistency better than painted without any downside.
Literally the only reason Black Deck is higher than Painted deck is because black deck is easier to win after you escape the hell early game and is more maybe versatile. And Black deck performs better in endless than painted does in ante 1 or 2. Am I saying black deck is a better deck to play? Absolutely not.
